My proposal for a Gateway Feature. My plan would employ locally based businesses, use recycled/used brick for the structure, and recycled tile for the mosaic.
The hope would be to make the public, who will visit the proposed parks along the River, aware of the importance of preserving the river, harbor and surrounding area for future generations.
The mosaic depicts satellite imagery of the River and Harbor overlayed on an original painting. The river and its port are vital to the economy of the city, have been in the past, and will remain so in the future.
