My work is unique in that it incorporates painting on canvas, photography, or stitching on textiles in such a way that challenges the viewer to decipher how the work was made. I have a busy exhibition schedule and I work closely with architects, designers and consultants to create site-specific commissioned art.

Suspended Atrium Sculpture
Public Art Project for County Library Headquarters
In the atrium of the Ocean County Library Main Branch, Toms River, NJ, I constructed two 7 by 6 foot double-sided “soft paintings” that combine disperse dyes with dye sublimation technology. One hangs horizontally and one vertically. This technology uses heat to infuse dye into the fabric, the result is an extraordinarily vibrant image that can be used without concern that the colors will fade or run.
The theme of the work is aquatic using abstract imagery to depict ocean shallows with sunbeams filtering through the water. The work is pigmented in hues of blues, greens and sand colored tan-oranges. There are hints of silver to integrate the stainless steel framing of the glass UV filter suggesting sea foam. The decorative stitching which holds the textile layers together implies water motion and bubbles.
The hanging rod has a slight S-curved to indicate wave motion.
